Teaching Assistant – 1:1 child support. KS2
Salary Grade E Scale Point 6 – 8 depending on experience.
Temporary contract, which will end when the child leaves the school or is no longer in need of support
15 hours per week, term time only.
Monday-Friday 8.45am-10.40am, & 10.55am-12.00pm
Commencement date ASAP

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and well-established team. This post is for 1:1 support for a child in KS2 and involves 15 hours a week during Term Time. It is a temporary contract which will end when either: the child leaves the school or they are no longer in need of support. The working days will be Monday-Friday 8.45am-10.40am, 10.55am-12.00pm.
We are looking for someone with:
• experience of working with children
• a good written standard of English & Maths (GCSE pass or higher)
• a willingness to undertake additional training
• skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children
• confidence to support children with additional needs
• a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
• good communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues
