We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and well-established team. The role is to provide 1:1 support for a named child with additional needs. There is potential for flexibility for the right candidate and the possibility of job sharing. We would invite applicants to make contact with the school to discuss further if interested. This is a fixed term position until 31.08.2027 (with possibility of extension) for around 20 hours a week, term time only.
We are looking for someone with:
• experience of working with children
• GCSE pass English & Maths (or equivalent)
• a willingness to undertake additional training
• skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children
• confidence to support children with complex needs in their personal care
• a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
• good communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues
